Qualifying for your first home is a simple process. You will need to have basic personal information such as: your residence history, job history and income. You can gather your pay stubs or 1099's, recent bank statements and prior tax returns ahead of time. We can help you select a lender specializing in first time home buyers and FHA lending requirements that you will enjoy working with. Finding the right mortgage lender is almost as important as finding me, your real estate agent !
Your lender, after reviewing your information and counseling you about your needs and financial affairs, will issue a pre-approval or advise you of what will be needed in order to obtain a loan for your 1st home.
When we have a pre-approval, we can then begin to find the right home for you. Remember that your loan approval is set to a maximum amount that you can qualify for (this is not what you must spend). Often times, we will find homes that meet your needs for much less than your pre-approval. It is not my goal to find you the most home you can afford. It is my goal to find you the best home for your needs while keeping your budget in mind.
